We certainly live in interesting times. The old republic has been abolished and Great Leader is now officially dictator for life. All pretense at “democracy” have been abandoned or outlawed and the various “freedoms” we enjoyed for all those years are privileges given out by Great Leader as rewards for sufficiently loyal sycophants. Good Job!
The Balkanization phase of the collapse is up and coming as regional governments take up the slack, providing those services essential to the people but discarded by the Tech Bros under Great Leader. Some areas will be left out, certain cities existing in red states will be too isolated to be integrated into the New order. Those people will likely be moved out by the Good Old Boys or Oathkeepers to some camp in the Texas desert where they will have their organs harvested for the greater good.
People are strange when you’re a stranger. People are even stranger when you’re a mentally impaired billionaire given the chance to take down an entire civilization. I often wonder what exact threats Vlad offered up to Great Leader during their private 2 hour meeting. He came out of it looking very much like his 9 year old mental age, head hanging, shoulders slack, while he repeated the message that “Russia is great, Putin is a genius. We need to listen to him.”
When in the course of human events a nation is consumed by it’s own stupidity and hubris the world should take a moment of reflection and condolences because the disease can travel to other nations and they might find themselves with their own version of the Great Orange Dope.
